WEBSITE DESIGN
(Independent Homeschoolers Ph)
Inspired by my cousins' passion for independent homeschooling, I developed this website as my fourth web design project. The project was completed within one week, beginning on August 6, 2018.
To ensure the content was relevant and helpful, I gathered the necessary information and resources from both the Facebook Page and the Facebook Group. I also designed a custom logo featuring a house with two kids, using bright, playful colors to represent the warmth and spirit of homeschooling.
This personal, non-profit website includes a blog section to provide valuable updates, articles, and resources for visitors and members. It is fully responsive and mobile-friendly, with carefully adjusted layouts, spacing, and margins to ensure a seamless browsing experience across different devices.
Consisting of six pages, the website effectively supports the homeschooling community by providing educational resources and fostering engagement in a user-friendly environment.
In addition, the associated Facebook Group features a dedicated Members Page, exclusively accessible to registered parents and children, offering a private space for communication, collaboration, and the sharing of homeschooling resources.

(AYSC VA Services)
This is my third web design project and one of my personal favorites, as I had the opportunity to work with the organization behind it.
The original AYSC website was built using WordPress, with a custom domain and hosting provided by Zoom.ph. Unfortunately, it was only maintained for a year because the domain and hosting were not renewed. At the time, the business was still in its early stages, and other operational expenses took priority over maintaining the website.
Although WordPress is a powerful content management system, I found it challenging to use because it requires familiarity with technologies such as HTML, PHP, JavaScript, and CSS. As someone who prefers visual, drag-and-drop website builders, I decided to redesign the website using the Wix platform.
Using Wix, I created a new website with a more personalized, professional, and customized design. The initial drafts were completed within a week, while the entire project was finished in approximately one month. I appreciate Wix for its intuitive interface and ease of use, making the design process much more efficient.
While Wix's premium hosting and custom domain services can be costly, the free version still provides a functional website. Even without paid hosting, unlimited bandwidth, or a custom domain name, the website remains accessible and performs effectively for its intended purpose.
